WHAT DOES NoThumbs.org DO?

We provide professional dance education and information products in a digital format for dance enthusiasts of all levels.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE ASK OF YOU?

We must collect certain information to allow access to our online educational products. This information is collected during the checkout process — including your name, email address, and credit card information. Additional information is gathered through automatic methods; for example, we may place a cookie in the browser files in your computer to keep track of your use of the NoThumbs.org website so that we can personalize our service and recognize you when you return to our site.

HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION?

The information we collect is stored in our database. You can update your personal information and preferences at any time. If you close your account, which you can do at any time, your password is disabled so that nobody outside NoThumbs.org can access your information.

UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

You can update your personal information at any time by navigating your Account Settings.

WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE THIS INFORMATION?

We will not release any identifying information except as described in this Policy. In general, when we disclose member information, it is only in the form of aggregate statistical data that doesn’t identify individual members. (Statistical information helps our partners and sponsors to understand the collective characteristics of our members.) NoThumbs.org will provide personal information if it has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law or legal process or to protect the interests of NoThumbs.org or others.

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

Your email address is kept confidential. However, the sender of a message is always identified, and the sender’s return email address is disclosed. (This policy promotes responsible use of the email system and directs our members to the right source if they feel they are receiving inappropriate messages.) You should be aware that when you send a message you are disclosing your identity and email address, and any information you voluntarily disclose may be used by others to contact you directly. EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS AND NEWSLETTERS

Your default email notification preferences are OPT-IN. You may control which emails you receive from us in your “Account settings” -> “Email Notifications” section after logging in to your account. Upon deletion of your account, your email address will no longer be used by NoThumbs.org.

ANTI-SPAM POLICY

Your email address is required for your NoThumbs.org account. Your email address allows you to sign in to access the members area as well as become an Affiliate member of our site. You may also receive reminders and updates about events or services in which you are participating or administrative messages from NoThumbs.org notifying you of our services and products. In general, the messages you receive from us are compiled into a single email message that arrives no more than once a day.

WHAT IS “SPAM”?

“Spam” is unsolicited email. The term usually refers to mass mailings that contain advertisements or that are undesirable or inappropriate. However, some people use the term to refer to any unwanted email message. Internet users sometimes find that unwanted solicitations begin or increase after they give their email address to a person or organization with which they are unfamiliar. This is why some individuals guard their email addresses so closely.

HOW DOES NoThumbs.org PROTECT YOU FROM SPAM?

NoThumbs.org only delivers messages to you from its own servers and never gives other organizations your email address to contact you separately. Your address remains completely confidential.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS WE PREVENT SPAM:

We never give your email address to anyone without your consent. Every message has the name and email address of the sender. Recipients are anonymous, but senders are identified. This allows you to contact the sender of any message you receive. This also makes it easier to report abuse of the NoThumbs.org email system, if it occurs. Every message has genuine information that relates your specified interests or other information that you have requested.

COOKIE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

There is a technology called “cookies” which is a file transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer so that the website operator may track activities on the site. NoThumbs.org uses cookies to maintain its Affiliate program. A cookie will NOT permit a website operator to learn any personally identifying information about you, such as your real name or address, unless you have previously provided that information to the website operator or you have set the preferences in your browser to provide this information.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
